Dr. B.N. Devkota participated in International Symposium as a key note speaker

Dr Bhuminand Devkota, HOD, Department of Theriogenology and Director of the Center for Biotechnology participated as an invited key note speaker in the International Symposium on Dairy Animal Reproduction (ISDAR2015) held in the University of Veterinary and Animal Science (UVAS), Lahore, Pakistan on 30-31 March, 2015. He presented a key note paper on “Nutrition-reproduction interactions in buffaloes”. During the event, he also chaired the session about “Reproductive Disorders“, and served as a member of the evaluation committee for poster presentations. This was a mega event on dairy animal reproduction participated by many international scientists. During his visit, Dr Devkota also lectured the undergraduate and post-graduate students of the UVAS on Nepalese livestock and recent advances on buffalo reproduction in Nepal. During several sideline meetings with the international scientists, Dr Devkota highlighted about the mission of the Agriculture and Forestry University in Nepal, scope of veterinary education in Nepal and explored the future of potential international collaborations.
